Singapore Triathlon 16 – The Comeback
My first triathlon race in almost two years turned out to be a pretty zen experience. I went through the sprint race with what’s more like my Ironman pace, and waves of memories and emotions came and went.
Thankfully, I had enough practice within me to just let these memories and emotions come and go. At the finish line, it felt like I just completed a meditation session as much as I completed a sprint triathlon.
Placing second was a bonus, and going on stage made me appreciate more holistically the effort from Elvin Ting, Joseph B Tan and their organising team, this time from the perspective of an athlete.
Lastly, a big thank you to coach Eugene Lee and Second Wind Academy for helping me find my second wind. It certainly feels like many things have come full circle.
